Welcome St. Francis School Community Members!
My name is Jonathan Mitchell and I am happy to serve as the Director of Finance and Operations for the St. Francis School District. As a team we work together with a visible precise focus on meeting the needs of all students. I value the importance of community involvement and am impressed by the level of community engagement and pride in the programming offered by the St. Francis School District. Together we work hard to meet the district mission: To prepare students to be literate and responsible world citizens.
In my role I am responsible for overseeing the areas of: Food Service, Payroll & Benefits, Accounts Payable, Maintenance, Buildings & Grounds, Technology, and Transportation. I also serve as chair of our Wellness and Health Insurance committees.

Director of Finance and Operations
Jonathan was hired as the Business Manager in February 2013. He comes to St. Francis after serving as the Business Manager for the Deerfield Community School District. He also served in Greenfield and the Racine Unified School District. Jonathan has an undergraduate degree in Accounting and International Business from UW-Madison and a Masters Degree in School Business Management from UW-Whitewater. Jonathan was recently promoted to the position of Director of Finance and Operations in October 2016.
Why did I join the education profession?
I enjoy the challenge of improving the educational climate and exceeding educational expectations for our staff and students within the resources available.
