Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year.  I have taught 6th grade here at Deer Creek for 9 years, but currently am a 5th grade teacher.  I graduated from La Crosse in 1989 and my first teaching job was was in a 5th grade position.  It feels like I am coming home.  I taught 5th grade for 4 years in that district and again in Milwaukee before coming to St. Francis. I earned my Masters in Reading at Whitewater and hope to help your child become the best reader and writer they can be.

My husband and I have three children.  Dalton is in the 5th Grade, Colton is in 3rd and Anna is in 1st. My kids are like night and day and I love it. In college, a professor once told me to teach as if my students were family. That advice really hit home once I became a parent.  I aspire to be the kind of teacher I want my kids to have...  someone who is excited about teaching and learning, someone who truly cares about kids and strives to help them reach their potential.
