I am entering my ninth year as a middle school math teacher.  I began my teaching experience at Fritsche Middle School in Milwaukee.  In the fall of 2007 I moved to Deer Creek Intermediate School.  Throughout my years of teaching, I have taught math curriculum at the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels.  I completed my masters in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on parent involvement in education.  I had a fantastic year last year, and I look forward to an even more successful one this year.

I believe that every student can be successful if they are given the correct tools.  My teaching philosophy is to focus on each child as an idividual so that all students can be successfull.  I want to build a strong classroom community in hope that all students feel comfortable participating and asking questions.  Math is all around us in our everyday lives; we are constantly faced with real world problems involving math. 

In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family.  My wife and I have a 3 year old son named Ethan, and a 3 month old daughter named Lily.  Both of which have kept us very busy over the summer.  I also enjoy going camping, fishing and playing sports.
