BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Education: I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a degree in Behavioral Disabilities. As part of my training, I did practicum work and student teaching with students who were identified with learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and cognitive disabilities.
Work Experience: I have worked in a several different special education classroom environments, ranging from self-contained settings for students with significant disabilities, to resource room settings for students with moderate disabilities. In addition, I have worked in a hospital setting as the school liaison, with students who were in need of in-patient psychiatric care. My most recent work experiences have been as a program support teacher and diagnostician in special education. After working in Cudahy in this capacity for 2 years, I was hired in 1997 by the St. Francis School District. Currently, I am a district employee, working at all three schools, performing a variety of duties related to Special Education.
Personal: I live in Wauwatosa with my husband. We have one child, a daughter, who is currently attending college, graduating in June 2009 with a degree in education (just like her mother!). In my free time, I enjoying playing tennis, going for walks in our neighborhood, entertaining friends and relatives, and doing volunteer work through our church.
