Email High School Science Teacher Phone: 414-747-3633 Background
I am entering my 10th year at St.Francis High School and I have a total of 16 years of teaching experience. I teach applied science, biology, and biology II. In addition to my teaching responsibilities I am also the faculty advisor for the outdoor science club and I also have coached the freshmen baseball team for five years.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1992 with a degree in biology/secondary education. Since then I have taken classes to earn my broadfield science certification. In 2008 I earned my MEPD (Master's of Education-Professional Development) from UW-LaCrosse.
"I am a strong believer in 'learning by doing'. I really do think my students are able to learn more by experiencing actual concepts through labs and other activities. I like to "WOW" my students with labs and demonstrations and then have them come up with their ideas about why things happen the way that they do. I consider myself an avid outdoorsman. I enjoy fishing, hunting, camping, golf and numerous other outdoor activities."
