Physical Education Dress Policy
Grades: 7 & 8
Students are required to participate in regular physical activity as part of the physical education program. Appropriate dress is required for participation in physical education class. Students will not receive credit for class on days when they do not arrive to physical education without all components of appropriate dress. Physical education classes at Deer Creek will be taught outdoors whenever the weather allows. Students will be expected to be appropriately dressed for activity for indoor and outdoor environments.
Appropriate dress for physical education is identified as:
* Athletic shoes
Athletic shoes must securely fit to the foot of the student and must have a back to the shoe. Athletic shoes have rubber soles. Sandals, boots, slippers, dress shoes, etc. are not recognized as appropriate athletic shoes.
* Deer Creek Physical Education Uniform
St. Francis School Board Policy requires the wearing of physical education uniforms for all 7th & 8th grade students. Physical education uniforms include a t-shirt and pair of shorts to be purchased from the school. Students will not be permitted to wear physical education uniforms during the school day outside of physical education. Students will receive appropriate amounts of time to dress into physical education uniforms before class and change back into school clothes after class.
