Concert!!

Who? 5-8 Bands and 7&8 Choirs

When? Thursday, May 31st

Students arrive at 6:30pm, Concert begins at 7:00pm

6-8 Bands - Plain black shoes/socks, Plain black pants/skirts, Plain white tops (tie optional)

5th Band - Dress nicely! NO jeans, NO t-shirts with lettering/numbering, NO flip-flops/sandals.

6th Grade Band meets once every THREE days (B rotation Day) for 50 minutes. Each student is responsible for practicing 45 minutes A WEEK at home and having it signed by a parent/guardian. The student will be responsible for turning in their SIGNED practice logs every other week (90 minutes total). This is to make sure they are making advancements as beginner players.

Grades are also based on private lessons.  Students are pulled out of class for an individual lesson one time per quarter.  If they miss their lesson time due to absence or forgetfulness, they have to make it up before or after school, since they cannot be pulled out of class again.

Students also receive 5 participation points each class. Points are deducted for a forgotten instrument (-3), forgotten music (-2) or behavior issues.
