Background

I am entering my eleventh year of teaching Physical Education in the St. Francis School District and my sixth at St. Francis High School. Prior to my experience here in St. Francis, I worked as a Letter Carrier for the USPS in South Milwaukee for thirteen years as well as numerous postal operations management positions. In addition to my role as a teacher, I also currently serve as the head coach of the Varsity Baseball team and I have also spent 15 years coaching  Football and 6 years as Girls Softball Coach.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree from UW- Oshkosh in 1984 where I majored in Physical Education and minored in Health Education and Coaching. I earned my Master's Degree in Education (Teacher Development) from Marian University in 2003.

My wife (Tracy) and I have one daughter (Taylor) and one son (Troy) and a Dachshund named Gidget. When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy walking, fishing, weight training, bowling and playing softball. As a family we love to travel whenever to any destination in the World.

Welcome Parents and Students

I am looking forward to working with your child this year. I wanted to take this opportunity to provide some information about my expectations so that you may be better prepared to support your child during the school year.

I am currently teaching four different PE classes to 10th,11th and 12th grader students and one Health class to grade 10 students. In each and every class your son or daughter will be required to change clothes and have gym shoes everyday. There will be different units about every 8-9 days, and having a positive attitude and participating are very important. There will also be various skills tests and a semester final exam.

It is important that students keep up with the expected class work. I am available before and after school if needed, as well as during my prep periods. I want you to know that I am here to help all students succeed, and if you need help please don't hesitate to ask.
