Background
My name is Jessée Tomchek and I am the School Counselor at Deer Creek Intermediate.
I was born and raised just a few blocks away from Deer Creek in Bay View. For my undergraduate coursework, I attended Marquette University, receiving degrees in Secondary Education and Psychology. I received my Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in School Counseling.
I am very excited to take on any new challenges the year may hold and to partake in the extraordinary St. Francis experience!

Information for Parents and Students
As a school counselor, I provide services to all students at Deer Creek in the following areas:
  • Individual Student Planning - I will regularly meet with students to establish personal goals and develop future plans.  This could include, but is not limited to, academic goals and career planning.
  • Proactive Services - Proactive services are preventative activities and intervention strategies meeting students' immediate needs.  These meetings take place in the form of individual and group counseling, consultation with parents, and collaboration with my colleagues.
  • Character Education Curriculum - This curriculum consists of classroom lessons designed to help students achieve the model standards for school counseling and to provide all students with the knowledge and skills appropriate for their developmental level.  Topics covered include bullying, self-esteem, and goal-setting.
I can be reached by phone: 414.482.8407 or by email: jtomche@dcchargers.org
