Welcome Students and Parents!

Background:

 This will be my 13 th year teaching at Deer Creek.  I received my dual certification in regular and  special education in 1998 from Carthage College in Kenosha.  I have since earned a Master's Degree in Reading and I am dedicated to creating fluent readers in my classroom.  I have enjoyed teaching middle school special education for many years!  I have experience with a wide range of special education grade, as well as needs, from mild to moderate disabilities.

My husband and I love being parents to our daughter Alayna-Maria, who was adopted from Colombia, and our son Evan, who was born in Ethiopia. We also have a dog and two cats at home to keep us busy.  I love spending time with friends and family, and every free minute is filled with them.
