I graduated from UW-Green Bay in 2001 with a B.A. in English and Secondary Education for grades 6-12. I taught 6-8 grade reading and language arts in De Pere, WI, for four-and-a-half years before relocating to Milwaukee, where I acquired an 8th grade language arts long-term sub position with Milwaukee Public Schools. Currently, I have been in the St. Francis School District for five years. While I took a short hiatus from my graduate studies to start my family, I plan to return to Cardinal Stritch University to complete my Master's Degree in Reading and Learning Disabilities.

I live in Bayview with my husband, Kevin, and our two boys, Rogan, 2, and Reece, born in May.
