I am so glad to be part of the fantastic St Francis School District.

Weekly Schedule

Monday, Wednesday afternoon and Friday  - High School

Tuesday -  Willow Glen

Wednesday morning and Thursday - Deer Creek

I started my teaching career in 2003 at the Indian Community School of Milwaukee. (They have since moved to Franklin).I was the K-8 computer teacher and enjoyed learning about my culture along with the children.  I am a tribally enrolled member of the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, but I have never resided on my tribal land. I have always known that I wanted to be a school librarian and completed my course work at Cardinal Stritch and began teaching library media skills in the Oconomowoc School district. I taught at Greenland and Park Lawn elementary K-6 and K-4 students before coming to St. Francis.

I am a graduate of Marian College (now Marian University) in Fond du Lac with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and an emphasis in Marketing. Upon graduating I began my 11 year career in computers and technology. First I was a computer trainer and content reviewer for a year. Then for 10 years I worked as a Help Desk call center employee, Help Desk Administrator, and Global Oracle Support Specialist. I supported applications and employees in the insurance industry, electrical AC and DC motors industry, and medical equipment industry.

I have an MBA in Information Systems from Concordia University (2000) and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction also from Concordia (2006).

I am and will continue to be a life long learner. I am taking further technology and library media classes to gain insight, skills and ideas to help the students of St. Francis to stay competitive in this ever changing technological world we live in.

My husband and I reside in Hartford. We are both book and music lovers and have our own little Dickinson library. When not at school, or in a library or bookstore I enjoy attending sporting events, all types of music and spending time advocating for Native American children, especially the one that has touched our lives the most, Takoda.

And these are a few of my favorite things

Books
Winnie –the – Pooh
Bucky Badger
Chicago
Disney World
Bon Jovi
And Colorado
