5th Grade Teacher

 This is my first year as a 5th grade teacher at Deer Creek and I look forward to and anticipate a positive and and energetic year of learning. I originally graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1997 with a BA in economics. My journey over the subsequent 12 professional years includes project manager positions at GE Medical, Proprietor of an art exhibition company, and academic advisor at a private art college in San Francisco. All of these paths culminated in a 15 month tour with the Peace Corps with which I began my journey as an educator. (the photo is my wife and mentor in the community center where we organized our tutoring programs in the Peace Corps) I have 2 previous years of teaching experience as a 2nd grade teacher at a charter school in Milwaukee in addition to working at Deer Creek in a 6th grade classroom last semester.
