Welcome to my Web Page!

Hi, my name is Mary Pat Grafwallner.  I am proud to be a Cross-Categorical Special Education Teacher at Willow Glen Elementary School in the St. Francis School District.  I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my master's degree from Marian College.

I believe we all need to be life long learners.  All students can learn if we enrich their strengths and fortify their weaknesses.  Reading is the key to academic and lifelong success.  Therefore, I embrace balanced literacy in my classroom which encompasses guided reading, writing, working with words and silent reading.  In math, we focus on building math concepts, computation and problem solving skills.  With these thoughts I am committed to foster students' success in learning while promoting creativity within a positive, challenging and nurturing environment.  I encourage students, parents, staff and the community to support and respect each student on their road to continuous improvement.
