Background
I am the Music Director for St. Francis High School. I teach band, percussion ensemble, concert and chamber choir, music theory and music history as well as lessons. This will be my second year teaching in the St. Francis school district.
I received the Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Carroll College. I earned my teaching license in general, instrumental and choral music education. While at Carroll I also earned a German minor. I was an active participant and leader in band and choir and tutored almost all music courses. I am still an active musician today, performing in local bands, orchestras, and other chamber ensembles.
When I'm not in school I enjoy spending time with my wife and friends, playing various sports (among them volleyball, badminton, and raquetball are my favorites), biking, spending time on or in the water and camping. I also enjoy traveling (especially internationally).
Welcome to Students and Family Members
I am very excited for the 2009-2010 school year. We have made some exciting changes from last year, which will help us to build the program. Together with the administration and music boosters we are committed to continue making music at St. Francis even better.
I would encourage you all to visit the rest of the music department's webpages. There is a link to each course (which contains all important information about the course including the syllabus) as well as a department page, music calendar, music newsletter, and links to other music websites.
Please know that you may feel free to contact me at any time. Do not hesitate to ask questions or share your feelings. My door is always open and you can call or e-mail me whenever you need to.
