Homework Policy

Homework Policy

Homework at the seventh grade level is to be expected and the student’s completion of this daily work is very important. As part of their daily assignment, students will be required to fill out their school agenda for all classes.

Assignments are considered late when they are not complete and ready to hand in at the beginning of class. Below is an outline of our policy for late work.

1st  Day Late:  -25 Percent (If they get an 95% - it goes down to a 70%)

2nd  Day Late: -50 Percent (If they get an 95% - it goes down to a 45%)

3rd  Day Late:  Score of   0%

In the event of an absence, one day of make-up will be allowed for each day gone, before the work is considered late. It is the student’s responsibility to get a list of all worked missed from their teachers.

If homework is requested in advance due to a vacation or planned absence, ALL work is expected to be completed and turned in on the day the child returns to school. If work is not given in advance, then it is the students’ responsibility to get what is missed when they return and then one day of make-up will be allowed for each day gone, before the work is considered late.

Assignments that students have redone will not reflect a change in their grade. However, to increase the student’s understanding, we will be happy to go over any work the students have redone.

We have gone over this policy with the students and have answered any of their questions.
