The high school was fortunate to have nine students represent St. Francis FBLA at the state leadership competition in Milwaukee this past weekend (April 2-4). The competition featured over 800 FBLA students from all over the state. The students that competed in Milwaukee needed to place in the top three of their respected business category at the regional level. Of the nine students that competed in Milwaukee, three of them qualified for nationals in Anaheim, CA!! To have nine students competing at the state level, and three advancing to the national stage is an awesome accomplishment!

The three students that qualified, along with their categories are:

Ray Moths for placing 3rd in Networking Concepts
Tony Corso for placing 2nd in Networking Concepts and
Adam Philip for placing 3rd in Cyber Security

The National FBLA Championship Competition will be held in Anaheim, CA, from June 25-28.

 

February 19, 2009

Recently, St. Francis High School sent a team of three students to compete in the Junior Achievement Business Challenge.  The three students were seniors Alyssia DiMatteo, Adam Schutz, and Damian Wetzel.  The St. Francis team took 2nd Place in the entire competition, which featured 32 teams from the greater Milwaukee area.  The 2nd place finish automatically qualifies the St. Francis team for the State Tournament in April!

Discovery World and St. Francis Schools Enter Into Unique Partnership

Leaders from renowned Discovery World met with St. Francis School District Administration on Friday (2/13/09) to discuss a partnership between the two organizations that will benefit students and the entire St. Francis School Community .

Mr. Paul Krajniak (DW’s Executive Director), Mr. Steve Atwell (DW’s Development Director) and their assistants met with Ms. Carol Topinka (Superintendent), Mr. Mark DiStefano (SFHS Principal) and Ms. Michelle Mancl (WG Principal / C&I Director) to discuss how the two organizations can work together to provide St. Francis students unique opportunites for learning in the cutting edge techonology and educational laboratories in the multi-million dollar educational environment at Discovery World.

St. Francis High School Dance Team Wins State Championship!

The SFHS Dance Team won 1st Place in Poms at the State Championship Competition in LaCrosse on Saturday, February 7, 2009 after defeating 24 of the other top dance teams in Wisconsin.  Our State Championship Dance Team also earned State Runner-up Honors in their Kick competition.  Congratulations to our Mariner Dancers and Coach Obst for all of their hard work and dedication.

9 Members of the St. Francis High School FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Qualify for State

Congratulations to all of the Mariner FBLA students that participated in the Regional Leadership Competition at Brookfield East High School.  The Regional Leadership Competition had of 800 students competing from the Greater Milwaukee area.  Your Mariner FBLA members qualified 9 students for the State Leadership Conference in April.
