The Art Department’s objective is to expand students’ understanding of the following disciplines: Art history, aesthetics, critical analysis and the process of studio production. Students are exposed to the responsibilities of a studio environment and the behavior that it requires. All levels of ability, whether novice or advanced, are encouraged to take an art class. Each student must sign a contract of expectations and rules. All art students will be expected to pay an art fee that covers consumable and special materials. Students are required to have a sketchbook and complete weekly assignments.
