These courses intend to help students discover their potential for foreign languages, which also includes the role of foreign languages as they relate to the students’ future careers. The study of foreign language will help to promote world awareness and an appreciation of different cultures.  Since language is the principal vehicle of culture, understanding languages is understanding other people.
