Speech and Language Pathologist Email Phone: 414-482-8429 Welcome to the 2018-19 school year! This is my 7th year in the St. Francis School District, working with students at Deer Creek Intermediate and St. Francis High School. I'm also lucky enough to work with several preschool students and their families! Before coming to St. Francis, I worked for Curative's Birth to Three Program, St. Joe's Outpatient Clinic, Aurora Psychiatric Hospital, and in the West Allis West Milwaukee School District. I came to St. Francis looking for a small, student-centered district, and that's exactly what I have found! My role is to evaluate and provide speech/language services to students with significant delays in one of these areas: receptive/expressive language, articulation, speech fluency, and voice. During speech therapy, students acquire strategies to help improve their vocabulary, word retreival, listening/reading comprehension, articulaton skills, and so much more! Students also learn to become independent thinkers/communicators and to self monitor their speech/language skills! In addition to providing direct services to students, I am available to parents and teachers for consultation regarding all speech related concerns. I feel fortunate to be a member of the St. Francis School District community!
I graduated from UW-Madison in 1986 with a degree in Communicative Disorders and received my Masters Degree in Speech Pathology from UW- Milwaukee in 1988. I am certified by DPI and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
My husband and I have 3 children, who are now all grown up and working, so we have much more time to ourselves! We enjoy exercising, hiking, kayaking, reading, and just spending time relaxing outdoors!
I am looking forward to working with you and your children! Please stop by, call, or email if you have any questions!
