Welcome to Willow Glen Primary School!

Willow Glen is centrally located within the city of St. Francis, just south of downtown Milwaukee. Willow Glen will offer you and your family an exciting educational experience that embraces the whole child.   Parents and caregivers are encouraged to be part of the educational process.  Throughout the year, we offer a variety of opportunities to celebrate learning with our families and community by hosting events such as Family Reading Night, Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast, and Fine Arts Night.  These special events allow our students to "shine" as they share their excitement for learning with their families. 

Teachers participate in Professional Development

Willow Glen Teachers are learners too!

Teachers at Willow Glen are highly trained professionals with many years of experience working with primary age students.  The majority of teachers have masters degrees in their specialty area, have taken advanced classes in literacy instruction and regularly participate in action research projects at local colleges. 

The entire St. Francis school district fosters a collaborative learning environment by offering staff a variety of professional development opportunities.  Using a professional learning community model, teachers at Willow Glen engage in weekly planning sessions to provide the best instructional practices that meet the needs of all students.

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction released the State Accountability Report Cards for 2019.  These report cards measure student achievement in the areas of literacy and math, in all public schools across Wisconsin. The data is acquired through the Forward Exam, which students engage in each spring. 

The dedication to high-quality instruction, research-based instructional practices, skilled staff, motivated students, and supportive parents has yielded amazing results for our school!
