Welcome Students and Parents!!!

My name is Sarah Huyck, and this is my 11th year of teaching. This will be my 7th year teaching at Deer Creek Intermediate School. Before teaching at Deer Creek, I taught at a school in Wauwatosa for 4 years. I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, in Elementary Education and Special Education: Learning Disabilities and Emotional Behavioral Disorders. Go Blugolds!!

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, and have always loved the city. I enjoy traveling, and love going to new places. I also enjoy gardening, photography, all sports, and spending time with my family and friends.

I have high expectations for all of my students, and I believe all students can be successful. No one student learns the same way, and I enjoy finding out which strategies work best for each individual student. I feel that having an open line of communication with families is critical for the overall success of your student.
