Joran Ball won the 400m dash with a blazing new school record of 48.31 at the WIAA State Meet in La Crosse, making him the first Mariner state champion since 1983 when Lynn Dusold claimed the girls shot put title.

The Boys 4x200m relay team—Emilio Del Aguila, Deondre Bolden, Phoenix Covi, and Joran Ball—blazed their way to a new school record this season with a time of 1:34.00, edging out the previous record of 1:34.13 set in 2024. Way to sprint into the history books, boys! 🏃♂️🔥💪
Senior Joran Ball broke his own school record in the 400m Dash, clocking an impressive 48.71 and topping his previous mark of 50.09.
Junior Emma Lingongo also made her mark, setting two new school records—she ran the 400m Dash in 1:01.29, surpassing L. Knutowski’s 1988 record of 1:01.40, and finished the 800m in 2:21.3, beating J. Maier’s previous record of 2:25.4.

The #WeAreSFSD team had an outstanding showing at this year’s Geography Bowl at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, winning 10 out of 13 matches and earning an impressive second place overall! With a total of 1,310 points scored throughout the day, their knowledge, teamwork, and determination truly stood out.
