They showcased their work to 4th-grade students, who are just beginning to explore these concepts in their science classes. What an amazing night at #WeAreSFSD's first Stargazing Night! 🌠 Despite some clouds, everyone enjoyed a stellar presentation by Matthew Ryno from The Milwaukee Astronomical Society. Thanks to the PTO for the hot cocoa and treats, and to the NHS students for helping with planet prints on t-shirts. Plus, we unveiled our new telescopes, which are available for checkout! Ms. Sterkel's Life Skills Class wrapped up their Ronald McDonald Fundraiser with an impressive collection of over 116,000 pop tabs, weighing in at 75 pounds, thanks to the amazing efforts of the Deer Creek community! A special shoutout to the #WeAreSFSD 8th grade for collecting the most.
Over the break, Ms. Sterkel and her family delivered the pop tabs to a grateful Ronald McDonald House. Heartfelt thanks to everyone for supporting such a meaningful cause and providing a fantastic learning opportunity for the students! 🌟💖

The St. Francis Youth Football program has successfully wrapped up its 48th season! Last week, the 2024 teams celebrated with a fun open gym pizza party. 🍕🏈 #WeAreSFSD
🐄🗳️ Our #WeAreSFSD 4th graders had a fantastic time learning about the importance of voting and how it's a way to share opinions and make group decisions!
To put their knowledge into action, they got out their very own 4th-grade voting booths and students voted for the cutest calf in their "Adopt a Class Cow" program!
🐮💖 The excitement was high as students took turns casting their ballots and participating in a fun, real-world example of democracy in action.
Students participated in a mock election of Skittles vs. M&M's. Skittles won the popular vote while M&M's won the electoral vote! 🗳 #WeAreSFSD
